- YouTube is a property of Google.
- YouTube has 100 Domain Authority.
- Some basic link-building rules like anchor text aggressiveness, and link-building speed, need not apply - necessarily.
Here at the top ranking factors for YouTube videos (according to my experience):
- Video Title, Meta Description, Channel Optimization
- Page Authority of Video
- Video Embeds
Here's a little technique I like to use - when you have a video made, embed it on every one of your branded web 2.0 properties which will increase its trust & authority, the social interaction around it, its potential to be found on other parts of the internet and its overall power.
Once you do this, if you already have a set content marketing strategy and optimized syndication tactics put into place, the video will explode right out of the gate.
Some other techniques is you can purchase reblogs, repins, retweets, shares and +1's on Fiverr which will embed the website everywhere on properties that already being visited by thousands of other people.
You can purchase social signals (non-aff) and build links to the video which is bound to skyrocket your rankings. [caption id="attachment_341" align="aligncenter" width="195"]
Local videos can be ranked for instantly with the aforementioned methods to the first page very easily.
Some people buy fake views and re-sort to some other spammier methods but I prefer to do my SEO without as much as automation as possible. Not because I'm some kind of white-hat preacher (which I certainly am not) but because I often try to choose not the quickest method, but the one which promotes the most longevity.
Anyways, today's post is a little shorter than most just because it's not as complicated a subject and there is not much ground to be covered.
Also you should check out my own video, just because it's freaking awesome.
See what I did there?
